About PAWZZLE
PAWZZLE is a cat-and-dog logic game created by Miah Zhou and developed under MENGARZ. It grew from a series of experiments into a private TestFlight beta with 1,000 puzzles.
What is PAWZZLE?
Complete each board through logic alone. Every row and column must keep an even balance of cats and dogs, and three matching animals can never appear consecutively.
Balance cats and dogs in every row and column.
Never place three cats or three dogs together.

Meet the creator
Miah began developing PAWZZLE as a high-school senior in 2026 and is part of the Class of 2027. Outside of development, she served as a varsity tennis captain and president of a local community volunteer group.
She has a cat, a dog, a brother, and a variety of unfinished hobbies. That mix of curiosity, discipline, and love for puzzle games continues to shape the way she designs and builds.
Why PAWZZLE exists
Miah grew up enjoying puzzle games on her phone and eventually found the chance to try creating one herself. PAWZZLE did not begin as PAWZZLE: Perfect Pour, Perfect Cut, PACKED!, and DON'T TOUCH all came first.
The breakthrough came from remembering how satisfying Minesweeper and other classic logic games could feel. The goal became to keep that sense of deduction while making the experience much cuter and calmer with cats and dogs.
Early PAWZZLE used simple 4×4 boards, but it was too easy. Larger boards, stronger difficulty progression, visual redesigns, and testing with friends and family helped the game become substantially more challenging.
The interface, sound design, and satisfying interaction feedback became as important as the puzzle itself. Miah especially enjoyed shaping the UI and sounds that make each placement feel warm and responsive.
Development timeline
No invented dates—just the milestones that brought PAWZZLE to where it is now.
Miah began exploring small mobile-game ideas and learning what made an interaction satisfying.
Several public prototypes helped narrow the search for a concept worth developing further.
A cuter, calmer logic-puzzle direction emerged from the satisfying deduction of classic puzzle games.
Cats vs Dogs evolved into its own identity, with a warmer presentation and a clearer focus.
Early 4×4 puzzles were too easy, so boards grew and the deduction challenge became deeper.
The expanded puzzle system reached a four-digit collection for the beta.
The game reached its planned advertising-integration milestone.
PAWZZLE made the move from desktop development to a real iPhone build.
PAWZZLE is currently in private beta through Apple TestFlight.
The next step is broader external testing and more real-player feedback.
A public App Store release remains the upcoming destination after testing.
Development brand
MENGARZ is the independent development brand behind PAWZZLE and the home Miah is building for future digital projects. It starts with one mobile game, but the ambition reaches toward games, applications, software, AI products, and other ideas still to come.
The name was inspired by Miah's first lucky Pokémon card: a Gengar card she kept at her desk. When she began imagining a future development brand, Gengar was the first name that came to mind. She changed letters to work in her initials, MZ, and MENGARZ emerged.
MENGARZ is currently a brand name, not a registered company, and is not affiliated with Pokémon, Nintendo, Game Freak, or The Pokémon Company.
